Luang Prabang is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its outstanding cultural, historic and architectural values and its harmonious relationship between the natural and built environment. In the 14th century, the King Fa Ngum founded the first Lao Kingdom, Lane Xang, here in Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang remained the capital of Lane Xang until 1565 when the capital was moved to Vientiane. It remained to serve as the country’s spiritual and religious centre. Visitors to Luang Prabang are charmed by the friendly atmosphere of this small town which offers several unique insights into the history of the region, through excellently preserved Buddhist temples, museum and a variety of Lao, Tai-Lue, Burmese, Chinese and Taui architecture. The town is famous for its unique textiles and beautiful mulberry paper.

Arrive at Luang Prabang International Airport and you will be greeted by a local guide and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure to relax and explore the city, you can enjoy some drinks in one of the cafés or stroll along the beautiful riverside. Overnight at Luang Prabang.
After Breakfast, your guide will take you on a full day city tour. You will visit the Royal Palace Museum (closed on Tuesday), which hosts a range of interesting artifacts; City's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground and representing classical Laotian architecture; Visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham. In the afternoon, visit the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos many ethnic cultures before heading out of town to see the weaving villages of Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek. On return,visit Wat Mai. Finally climb to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa and a sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. At the twilight, you will visit the famous Night Market, where you will find textiles hand made by local and hill tribe peoples living around. Overnight at Luang Prabang.
Today, you will start your day with a memorable trip by partaking in an alms ritual, you will accept the blessing by monks who you give the alms. After Breakfast, you guide will take you on a visit to Royal Palace Museum to learn some history of Laos. You will later embark on a private boat for a 2 hours trip along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Cave. During the boat trip, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Mekong River and see the daily fishing life of local people in the riverside. Then, go to visit the Pak Ou Cave which locates by the Mekong River. Here, you will discover a number of gold lacquered Buddha statues in the cave. After that, you can have an excursion to Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you will enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, have fun in waterfalls and relax. This waterfall is in a perfect natural setting near Luang Prabang and this multi-tiered waterfall tumbles over limestone formations into a series of turquoise pools. Overnight at Luang Prabang.
After Breakfast, you will learn how to be a Mahout and then get ready to get wet as you plunge into the Nam Khan river and give the elephant a refreshing bath! (No Elephant Ride). Your English speaking guide will pick you up by 08:00 am and transfer to Elephant Village Camp. After a short briefing about elephants, you will join Elephant feeding by getting closer and personal with elephants; explore Elephant Village by visiting Elephant Hospital, Museum, Gallery and dung paper making facility. You will also enjoy one on one experience with an impressive experience of being a Mahout! (Notice: 1 person per elephant). Later, join a boat trip to the Tad Sae Waterfall by a ride in a traditional Lao long boat to the Tad Sae Waterfall and relax or swim in the clear water. Swimsuit recommended! (Notice: water levels will vary with seasonal conditions). Now, take your own elephant down to the Nam Khan river for an exhilarating and once in a lifetime bathing experience! Return in a traditional Lao long boat from the waterfall back to our Elephant Camp. You will be transferred back to your Hotel by evening. Overnight at Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, you will have free time to relax at hotel until the guide transfers you to the Luang Prabang airport for your onward flight.
